About Benny Shabtai

Benny Shabtai is a longtime New York entrepreneur with a leadership background in the jewelry and watch business. As the president and CEO of Di Modolo International since 2001, Benny Shabtai has overseen an Italian luxury brand that defines contemporary women’s and men's fashion through exquisite diamond and 18 karat gold creations. The high-end line consists of the signature Triadra collection, Fiamma and Falco to name a few.

With a background in the Israeli army, Mr. Shabtai began his international career as an embassy security officer in Paris and subsequently moved into the retail import sector. As the founder and president of Raymond Weil USA from 1977 to 2009, he distributed luxury Swiss watches to the United States. Over the years, Mr. Shabtai diversified into investments in the defense and high-tech industries, and he was an investor and advisor with Viber, an app-focused company which enables free texting and phone calls worldwide, from 2011 to 2014 when they sold the company.
